Let's keep in touch

Alice Rosa’s work is grounded in close observation and a sustained dialogue with the natural world. She approaches each subject as if it carries its own vocabulary of structure, color, and atmosphere, and her drawings become an interpretation of that language.

Her background in art conservation informs both her eye and her technique. Years of studying historical surfaces and working with the rigatino method trained her to build form through countless fine, deliberate strokes. This layered approach is central to her colored-pencil practice, allowing her to create depth, subtle transitions, and a strong sense of presence.

Alice’s study of botany has deepened her understanding of the vulnerability and resilience of plant life. Her work invites viewers to look more closely and, in doing so, to cultivate a more thoughtful, respectful, and responsible relationship with the natural world.
